Women on the Move


January 21, 2018 - Women's March


 It's unimaginable that in 2018, women throughout the world continue to march for equality.  Despite the progress made by women, we live in a society where we're treated like second class citizens; silenced and abused by those in power.  Now is the time to lift our voices in unison, fighting the oppressors and others who want to control our bodies, limit our financial ability, and stifle us from reaching our goals.  Let's use our political power and community activism to tear down the walls of misogyny, inequity, and prejudice against women.  It's our responsibility to make politicians accountable for the policies that keep us in bondage.

The Power Of Women Throughout history women have fought tirelessly to provide for their families and to bring about change in their communities.  From the great conductor of the Underground Railroad, Harriet Tubman, who never sacrificed a passenger, to Daisy Bates who was determined to obtain a quality education, leading a movement to desegregate her high school in Little Rock, Arkansas, women have been working hard to change the status quo throughout history.  Praise and much respect to those who have sacrificed so much in the fight for Civil Rights and Women's Rights. And of course, let's not forget the women who continue to fight for equal rights today: Marian W.
